Thanx for sharing. I've only flown over that area and had my face against the window the whole time, imagining what it would be like to ride down there. Now I have more colorful imaginings. Great stuff!!

Just some more useless info: CCDs used in digital camera's are actually more sensitive to IR than visible light. Therefore all the CCDs are covered with a substance to filter out IR.

You can do some nice IR effects with Photoshop too, although it won't beat the real thing. Here's one my wife did for a project:
