Past your bike this morning,it was on the other side of the freeway by Bluewater Bay with the rider checking out the straps or map.

Yup, just past the river crossing and standing at the lookout point.

Yup, just past the river crossing and standing at the lookout point.

When he said last night that he was going through Dubbeldrift and if the drift's OK, I did not click. This morning I realised its the deep one he wants to cross, that I could not do on the 660 the other day.  :eek7:

But, seems then they did alright. That old 600 can take seriously deep water, as long as you keep going.

I phoned to check the water level yesterday. He said it was very doable with a dual sport.

This was what it was like on the way to the national bash. Very slippery.

Since then we had the floods, so a few weeks ago, on our way back from OTR, they adviced us not to go through with bikes.

Just heard from bungycool... he's safe in Hogsback and I've asked him to post something if he can. Think he has a fancy phone.

Enjoy the visit with your Old Man Jim.
