Ok, I've got the bike. I'll get it cleaned tomorrow and then strip off the parts.

Fantastic mate!  :thumleft:

When pics of the bike is posted..... I'd be interested in the tank, seat and swing arm as well....

The tank has a dent, and the swingarm had been welded. Seat OK.

RCerrie - Starter Clutch Idler gear + pin and spacer  R200  - Presumably also in the guts of the engine?

            - 2x Handlebar switches R200 - Tick

I'll give R50 for the CDi............

I don't know the DT engine at all.... but if anything like the XT motor. then the side cover comes off and the shaft should easily just pull out?

:peepwall:  will go and check....  can I send you info via email.

Oh............... DB9  for all your effort and trouble matey........... what do we lot owe you?  Surely you cannot be expected to do all this work for nothing..... maybe a beer fund/collection?   :thumleft:

You are aware this is a DR?  ??? Anyway, I've pulled on the shaft but it doesn't seem to want to come out, I think there must be somthing holding it in place from inside the crank case. Does anyone have a workshop manual? steve(at)dreamlodge.co.za

Had to change my wiring harness, since the master fuse kept blowing on the old loom. Looks like I blown the recently accuired cdi from ebay.

I can offer R150 on CDI....

-Where does the voltage regulator sit?

It should be on the frame under the tank or seat somewhere.

Looks like this

Might take it if no one else is in serious need of one.

Kindly note my thread re. the swingarm pivot needle bearing upgrade http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=117523.0
I have only one set left. The oem El Cheapo plastic bushes are wearing out very quickly.
Staight replacement, no engineering required. R828

I can put more needle bearing kits together if necessary but in the past it looked as if no one really cares how wobbly those poor little bikes are :-\

I also still have a box full of DR200 spares (new).Mostly consumables such as brake pad pin lock washers and breakables. Will list and offer later.

There is now not much of value left apart from the clutch and gear box. The clutch basket looks ok if anyone is interested. CDI available again. The front wheel , hub, rim and spokes looks OK and has a usable front tyre. Kings I think.

:-[ :-[  all I have been able to find is this parts diagram below. Seems item # 14 is a circlip that might be the thing holding the shaft in place..... but that might well be on the opposite side of the engine...?

Does this help at all........?

The two attached pics seem to show that the shaft/gear assembly comes out as one item...?

OK,

I have parts from 9 to 16. I think I'll have to split the engine since those splines don't look like they'll come out through the hole in the casing. I'll try tomorrow if I get a chance.
