Ficksburg ;D

If you head up the A1 all the way (i.e. past Oxbow and Afriski) it's a total of about 250 km.  Will take you the whole day if you leave Underberg / Himeville early, with some time for photo stops - but not a hell of a lot.

Road conditions vary from steep, low range mountain pass to REALLY kak potholed tar to good dirt and good tar.
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

I agree... not far distance -wise, but will take you the best part of a day. There are good lodges at Himeville and Fouriesburg. Take some warm clothing for the cold winds up top! On a clear day you'll take lots of photo's, and just be careful not to travel too fast! :thumleft:
