Lekker machine those, anybody have a spare 385k lying around?

Thats the worst of it. You can only get one if you're good enough. Not for sale to anybody else.

I believe that 385k EFT will make you good enough!  :deal:

Looks like there is really going to be some competition for Geniel and the rest of the frontrunners this year
That 3.2 Ford bakkie is the shit!
Just watched a piece on RPM TV where the Ford's were testing in Namibia. Impressive specs on the car:
Mustang V8 = 257 KW's , restricted of course
500 liter fuel tank
Brakes by Brembo and suspension set up same as the Hilux.
Top speed, restricted to 170kmh
Built by Neil Woolridge in SA.
Just because your past did not turn out like you wanted it to does not mean your marriage will not be better than you ever imagined it could be.

Hi Brett

MALLE  MOTO - Bru that is going to be something to behold! :notworthy:

I believe you will be the first South African in more than 10 years to have competed in this category.

Please keep us informed of how things are going. You are absolutely right about that bike being the best for the job! :ricky:

Email sent for ordering a T-shirt!  :deal:

Hello Brett.

There is still space in the Amageza as well. 3 spots left. The Amageza is being run Malle Moto style for the 3rd year now. (www.amageza.com)

It would be very good practice for the Dakar. Riaan and Darryl did the pre run for us to test the roadbook and the route.

Good luck with the Dakar. Malle Moto is the pure way of doing it.  :ricky:

Hey Pleco

I would love to make it to the Amageza, but unfortunately budget and time doesn't really allow for it at the moment.

Hey Markdiver

Thanks a million!!! Really appreciate the support. It's a bit easier seeing the wildlife when there is less for them to hide behind.
Hope you are ready for the Amageza! You are going to have a blast!

The translucent fairing fascinates me. The lights are both behind it. The smaller light is a LED, but the other isn't. I wonder about heat buildup.
I also wonder what material it is made of, that it can handle the heat, and the shock and vibration, what with it having only three smallish countersunk screws holding it on. Polycarbonate?
Fascinating. I think it looks great.

They had the same transparent screen on this years Dakar bike, but I have to wonder how they clean the dust off them as well!

Remember Brett Cummings from last year's Dakar? This guy:

He rode an HRC Honda, and actually turned around to look for a teammate who had broken down. He ended up towing him out of the dunes to the end of the stage, and to the bivouac. Impressive stuff, the man has big brass ones. Finished his first Dakar, and next year is going back for more.
To prove the big brass ones bit, he has changed his entry for next year to Malle Moto.
Brett is raising some of the money he still requires through sales of T-shirts.
Have a look at http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=135861.0
