Intro & info
« on: May 05, 2006, 12:58:59 pm »
Hi all, my first post & would like to introduce myself as I've been lurking for awhile.
I switched from a Fireblade to a 1150GS in December & already clocked 13k km with it. Still a newb on the dirt but getting there & loving it. Spent the weekend doing the dirt roads between Thabazimbi & Nylstroom, nice hard fast roads (that's 80 for me) with some butt clenthing soft sand sections. No fall though(yet)
Mostly ride alone as my friends don't want to take their bikes on the dirt (sies!)
You can always rinse the surface
but the stain will remain.

howdy blouvark! welcome to the forum and join one of the groups on the forum for a run - you will learn a lot from some of the riders, like greasing the front brakes, etc... :D

Hier herhaal vir jou gemak. Geen veskonings meer nie.

its complex if you dont know how, so i'll give it to you step by step:

1.go to http://www.imageshack.us/ (no registration required)

2.click on the "browse" button on the right. find the file you want from your pc, and click "open"

3. now click on the "host it!" button below.

4. now wait while it uploads your image. it takes a while (the bigger the file, the longer)

5. a new screen comes up.

6. on the bottom half of the screen 5 boxes with text come up. to the right of the top one it says "hotlink to forums (1)". this is the one you want.

7. all you do is select & copy whatever it says in the text box. dont change or edit it.

8. after selecting the above, go to the forum text editor (the one where you are busy typing your story), and paste the selected junk from the imageshack page.

voila! when you submit your story, it will automatically display an image in the spot where the "gobble-dee-gook" text was placed
Live and let live.

Ya welcome, the Blouuvark will not feel lonely on this forum, I agree there are some great roads up North, we should plan a run up there, particularly now winter is coming.
