KATBERGPAS EN NOG SO PAAR PASSIES

Die Arende se gaaie het weer gejeuk, ons het twee weke laas gat geskuur want die Big Blue was by die Dr vir haar 40 000km diens.  Ons het haar twee weke terug George toe geneem sodat die spesialis haar behoorlik kon ondersoek en laasnaweek het ons haar weer gaan haal.  Die naweek was toe tyd om te kyk of die behandeling suksesvol was.

Ons was lankal lus om Katbergpas weer te ry en die was die idiale tyd.  Die roete vir die dag was soos volg.
King Williams Town na Hogsback deur die woud, Mitchells pas af na Seymor en dan na Katberg.  Katbergpas op en dan weer af met Devils Bellows.  Vandaar na Whittlesea en dan sou ons kyk hoe moeg of hoe vars ons nog is, dit sal bepaal waarnatoe volgende.

Net na 7 was ons op die pad, die lug was lekker vars en helder.


Oudergewoonte was dit verby King Sandile dam.








Toe oppad na Hogsback deur die woud.

Na Hogsback was dit af met Mitchelspas na Seymor, maar eers was dit die varkies se beurt.


Mitchelspas was maar lekker verspoel gewees.












Oppad na Katberg besluit ons om eers gou n draai te maak by Katrivierdamwal.  Die hek is gesluit maar die man laat ons gou in.  Ons het nie veel tyd nie, maar hier is so paar vinnige kiekies.

Ons stop altyd hier voor ons Katbergpas aanpak of net nadat ons Katberpas afgekom het.


 

Katbergpas.  Die reen het die stukkie pas lekker deurmekaar gemaak en dit kos so bietjie werk om regop te bly.
















Dis altyd die moeite werd om bo uit te kom, die uitsig van hier is werklik indrukwekkend.  Fotos kan nie beskryf wat jy werklik ervaar en sien nie.

Nou is dit tyd vir Devils Bellows, dis die eerste keer wat ons die pad ry.






En toe waarragtig, daar kry ek weer n papwiel, gelukkig sien ek dis net die valve wat gelek het.  Tyd weer vir n pomp en sommer so n ruskansie na Katbergpas.






Die uitsig by Devils Bellows.








Die omgewing hier is asemrowend mooi.




Oppad kry ons nog n boom wat oor die pad le, maar dis n klein problem, ons ry om hom.


Net om so entjie verder by nog n boom aan te kom wat die hele pad versper.


Ek soek n ompad.


Daars geen deurkom daar nie en ons backtrack so ent en ry deur die veld en volg beespaadjies.








Uiteindelik kom ons weer op ons roete en sien die mooi dammetjie.




Terwyl ons die dam staan en bewonder sien vroutjie die mooi hottentotsgod.






Toe raak die pad heel skaflik en ons kry nog n dam, die Oxkraaldam.




Vanhier was dit n maklike stuk tot by Wittlesea waar ek bande gepomp het en toe die maklik roete huis toe geneem het.

Hoop julle het dit geniet soos ons het.

That Devil's Bellow detour 'ride around' is a known thing = road been blocked like that for probably at least 18 months and the fallen trees are a blessing in disguise as the road there is very washed out. I can say you are fortunate that this route was not wet ... you would have been very busy in the cockpit!  :3some:

The scenery is awesome. 

That Devil's Bellow detour 'ride around' is a known thing = road been blocked like that for probably at least 18 months and the fallen trees are a blessing in disguise as the road there is very washed out. Baie baie mooi RR:thumleft:, julle Arenda sien vir baie kans jong op daai verspoelde roete, ek en Dutchman81 het daar deur gekom verlede jaar van Whittlesea se kant en ek persoonlik dink dus moeiliker soos julle op gery het en by ges hulle het baie reen gehad van laas af. Soos jy s, woorde kan nie beskryf hoe mooi dit daarvan bo af is nie. Sien julle Saterdag.
