I was riding between Franschoek and Paarl one Sunday afternoon with my grey/silver Tour-X helmet on and came upon a 1400 Nissan bakkie with a very sleepy young child in the back. He looked up, took one look at the helmet, started screaming and crying and jumped through the (luckily open) sliding window into the cab.

Guess I have that effect on young kids

Imagine the poor kid if you did not have a helmet on.....  >:D

Should be an easy weekend project.

Start with an old helmet or cheap full face, add some plastic, some nylon rope, some quick set epoxy, maybe some Pratleys Putty and an airbrush.

Never mind a noisy exhaust to draw attention to yourself.

But be careful out there though! You might cause a taxi to roll ;D
