DR350 missing on downhill
« on: February 13, 2013, 07:24:29 am »
Hi fellow SSS guys,

I need some advice, my '93 DR350S tends to miss, it feels as if the bike is braking, when going downhill, it always happens when I'm off the throttle (not accelerating, just cruising), any advice?

My DR is also fitted with an aftermarket muffler, don't know what brand as it has no markings. She also tends to back-fire every now and then.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Previously owned: Vuka RM200, Aprilia Pegaso Cube 650, Suzuki DRZ400E, Kawasaki KLE500, Suzuki DR350

I would think running lean possible air leak on intake side. Carb boot?
I would let the bike idle and spray around the boot with something like Q20. If revs change you have a leak.
Carb clean? Float height correct? Jets for this altitude.
Just my thoughts on the problem I am sure the more knowledgeable guys will jump in  :thumleft:

Come to think of it bike should brake going downhill if you have the throttle closed  :ricky:

There is a tiny yellow wire in the left front flikker that cause this when it shorts with the black. Take a 4pound hammer and adjust the angle of your indicater.

Sorry for the bs, really havent a clue....???
