Here is one I did late last year. I need to re-upload it cause it isn't available in HD on youtube, although I edited it in FHD. But you get the idea.

Flippit INpo , that is quite amazing. Did not think watching a patio being built could be so entertaining .  :thumleft: :thumleft:

Shew so much potential for this kind of thing .
Its impossible, said pride. Its risky, said experience.

Its pointless, said reason. Give it a try, whispered the heart.

So I got my SX50 yesterday and today I finally managed to get the beta of the CHDK firmware on it which means I can now shoot time lapse scenes! We are heading to the KKNK on Thursday and I thought as a good first attempt I will capture a time lapse of us setting up the tent.

Can't wait :biggrin:

If you have a sturdy windscreen mount of somekind (or dash diy mount), you could start your timelapse at home, packing the car, then mount the camera on the dash, pointing ahead so you capture the drive (probably every 30 seconds to a minute should be MORE than enough - meaning no need for more pictures per minute - although timelapse is really just experience of how you want the video to look), and finally the tent setup.

My first attempt at time-lapse photography. Actually took the sequence to create a star trail photo.

Time-lapse video of the stars as viewed from a farm in Botswana, Consists of 60 photos, each having a 30 second exposure, ISO 1600, 09 August 2013, 12:35am - 01:16am. Shooting star can be seen near the Southern Cross (+-9sec mark).

Best viewed full screen and in 1080p (HD)

I think ive been trying 720 wide, but taking too many pics, like, 3 every 5 seconds or whatever it is.. Did a hour timelapse and had over 1000 pics.. So, as I said, still trying to finetune things.

what size memory card?

for power I have the rear battery add on and then feed a micro USB cable into it (the open rear housing insulated with silicon) and then hook the charger up to the building mains. Rough and very poor'a tech but it works :D

Ok, I tried my hand at this again.....

Sunset over the Kremlin in Moscow

* The composition is kak
* The battery life on a GoPro is super kak
* I need to learn how to edit and frame properly
* I did this for 1h 42m @ 5sec intervals, I should have used 2 or 3 second intervals
* I was freezing my nuts off! It was -2 and I lived in Qatar for 20 months, I cannot handle -2 anymore!

 :biggrin: :biggrin:
