I've been wondering how real that pic is... Maybe the floor is just off to the side there or something...

Of all the adventure sport (and insane adventure sport) people the 'free face' climbers makes me the most nervous.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why someone would scale a 800m cliff, sometimes dangling from 3 fingers without any ropes/harnesses.

I mean - if you are on a rope at least you can anchor yourself and rest a bit if need be.

I like adventure stuff, but I get sweaty palms just thinking about these guys doing it with no safety ropes or nothing.

Imagine you are 500 meters up on a rock face and then you grab some 'bossie' that release something that make you go into a sneezing frenzy while hanging on with 3 fingers...
