Hogsback - Arrived Safely Home Check-in
« on: November 11, 2007, 04:28:51 pm »
Just an acknowledgement by Wild Dogs that were at the Bash that they made the journey safely back home.

Watty reporting in:  was home at 14h10, 349 km, no problems except for numbness in the sitting department!

Home 1069km's 16:45

Rat my tires weren't up to the gravel, turned back onto the Calitzdorp road. Must have been right behind you. Get a throttle control for your beast.

How's that headwind!

I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)

Glad to hear you also made it back Kamanya, but you were right as I have never been blown like that before and complained. Sorry your tires didn't last but I stopped and had something to eat at Barridale and then cut across to N2 hoping it would be better only to also hit the stop and go's.

Look forward to seeing some of you pic's.

Me home also. Did manage to fall on slippery Fish River causeway.

What a great weekend I had. What a beautiful area Hogsback is. Those who have never been there must really make a plan. Bike or cage, there is lots to see and do. Great place to chill.

Was lekker meeting the faces behind the forum names.

Thanks to all who worked so hard to spoil us rotten.

Clocked in at 18h00.

ABS moer toe. Got stucked about 20km before Humansdorp. Bike didn't want to move forward even in N. Phoned BW-on call and the meccie gave instructions on how to bypass the rear ABS.

Unbelievable headwind from Mosselbay.

Thanks again for a super weekend!!

Me and LM arrived back home today at 17:55.

No "incidents" on the return trip of 936 km. Introduced LM to the fine art of "skietieng" toll gates >:D

Thanks to everyone for an awesome Bash!!!!! ;)

Me and Dusty back in George at 16H45. Dusty almost got blown of the road by serious cross wind wind, but all ok. Thanks for a super bash. Going to polish my headers now.
