So it finally arrived!
The trip to Hogsback! I almost did not make it - luckily our trip to Nigeria has been postponed and Hogsback was on!
Peet and myself left Thursday afternoon at about 3pm from Brackenfell and quickly stopped at my wife's job for a quick last kiss on our way to Vleesbaai where we would spend the night.
We did a slow trip up the black stripe called the N2 - had a couple of road works stops and a fuel stop or two nothing major...
Day 1 - 360km

The Friday morning we made a relaxed start and left at about 7:30. Lihan also stayed over but he left earlier to meet up with YellowFever and gang.
I have never been further up the N2 than Plettenbergbaai
So the road through the Tsitikamma forests etc was all new to me! I will surely have to go back and see what lies next to the N2 at some future date.
Quick stop at Blou Krans for a couple of photos and were off again...
Traveling 1015km to get to the campsite R355 in petrol
Watching Peet drop his bike 100m from the campsite - PRICELESS!!!!
Couple of km's in front of Hogsback Peet stopped and said that at the next Hogsback sign we should stop to take a picture.
It so happened that the next sign was the sign at the start of the town.
We just passed the sign and Peet wanted roll backwards to get in front of the sign so that I could take the picture.
And BAM!!!!
He's foot slipped and down came the bike - off course we first had to take that picture!
The campsite was amazing...
My accommodations for the next two nights
Day 2 - 655km
That evening we had some burgers and then the "kuiering" started in all "erns".
Lihan was downing the brandies and coke like crazy - I was just about to turn in when he started pouring me some.
I lost count at 3 or was it 4 ???

We finished his KWV bottle and as you can see he did not take it to well ;D
Then Groenie came around with his Haakies Draad Mampoer :
Needless to say Groenie and TrailRider got into a heated debate over
"WP Jou Lekka Ding" and the "Blou Ballas"
But after a while they kissed and made up :-*
Actually they got very friendly with each other :-X
