All that this thread has proven is that a 990 is lewensgevaarlik and all owners should sell them now(especially the blue and the white ones, fitted with every conceivable extra).
Fear not ,no one will think any less of you should you ride a BMW....... :peepwall:

Just got back from specialist...

Been twisted, prodded, probed and bent like a bloody pretzel!
So....
Shoulder and collarbone stuffed, too swollen to do anything yet, but the clavicle
Is properly broken, three places.

They were worried about my little finger most? Go figure!
Too swollen and lack of blood supply, I now have a very trick shotgun
Splint and custom moulded cast, looks oh so dashing  8)
Wrist broken but not sure if that is an old injury, not much they can do right
Now except strapping and physio.
Shoulder and collarbone all strapped up so right side is useless and left
Side in a cast.......guess Iam gonna have to learn a creative new way
To slap the salami  ;)

And the foot, big toe nicely broken and ligament damage in my ankle and severely
Bruised heal.

So that's the extent of the injuries so far.

Lots of rehab and bloody excruciating injuries and plenty $$$$$ for dr's, physios,
Orthotists and casts!

What a great day I have had........all made so jovial with my little green and yellow
Friends........Tramacet!

Hey  Simon !
What you doing man ?
Hope you heal well and soon ?

My off 3 years ago was at 56km/hr . Also High sided and spat me off.
Also landed on my head , Cracked LH Skull  , Broke the LH Collar bone too  and the 5th rib in my back.
Fingers Bruised , but not broken.
I didnt have a neck brace on and my helmet was an Airoh S3 , it cracked LH and RH side.
What helmet were you wearing ?

Did you not get any concussion then ?
My concussion made me off balance for 14 months , before it went away

Strongs though , It will take a while , that Collarbone is a bitch to heal though.
Let us know if you need anything  Bud ?

Glad that you are relatively ok bud .
If we had crashed at the speeds we were usually doing , we wouldn't have been so lucky hey Simon?

See you on the dirt soon !

Jeesh....

Sounds like my big fall where I had a broken femur and ankle (other leg) and both hands.

Only noticed my hands were broken about a week later when the physio asked why they were blue, the pain of the femur tended to overshadow everything else.  My little finger is still crooked!

Hope you heal soon and completely!

it's great to know that they're busy putting you on the road to recovery. Tramacet ...hey I know that from last year after my failed negotiations with the tipper truck on Contermanskloof. It's good to hear everyone's war stories, it helps with the recovery, the only thing none of us will comment on, or give advice on, is the bit about slapping the salami  :spitcoffee:
