Speak to Cocky on the forum, he is in that industry
You know you've landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi to the ramp.

So it turns out you dont need a clearing agent in Mombasa, even though the agents will tell you that it is impossible to do anytging without them - laughing. We managed to wrangle the costs of getting the motorcycles offloaded and cleared down from R19,000.00 (fucking heart attck) to 350USD per bike. This entailed a shit load of leg work, a few hekpful brothers in the Kenyan Revenue Authority with some good contacts (chief of imports and chief of Port) and a lot of arguing and research, allowing us to go back to those agents who said we have no choice and telling them where to shove their attitude. Bikes arrive tomorrow!!! ;D;D

Hey SG. Headed to Mombasa Port yesterday to watch the MSC Denisse pull in. So ship has docked and we will be picking the bikes up in the next few days.

Full ongoing ride report here: http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=119936.msg2335670#msg2335670

Thank you very much for the help!
