Very short trip Delmas/Bapsfontein>>> Some Pics
« on: March 25, 2013, 09:57:55 am »
This past weekend we (5 oukes) did a short trip in the Delmas/Bapsfontein area. Stopping along the way for a custom brewed coffee.

Nothing much (about 90kms).....just enjoyed the the sceneray on a relaxing Sunday morning. The road was mostly hard gravel, some patches of rocky terrain and mud puddles from the previous night's rain.

We departed @ 08:30 and left the tar 8kms later. After another 25kms we did a pit-stop and decided to utilise the small gas stove to brew some coffee next to the Riet river. After a 30min break and some "bosveld" coffee we saddled up...30kms later we got to our "turn-around" point. Making sure that all is still where it should be (after a very rocky section) we headed home. Some 30kms later we got the familiar scene of tar. Only one "down" between the 5 of us.....a lekke big old rock that decided to take Jan's front wheel & put him down. No injuries...just some scratches on the right places.

All-in-all it was a good trip, very relaxing and good company.
Here's some pics:
