Ok, the courier replied. He can help from JHB to Walvis Bay, but at a cost of R2500. Let us know if they do want to go ahead. Ok, just got a new e-mail. He'll do it for R1500.00

Hey SW, thanks so much! I have sent you a PM.

To Ratt and Tiger8, thanks for the offers of financial assistance, you guys rock! Will let you know if it is necessary.

You know you've landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi to the ramp.

I will put in R200.00, pm me the account details.

You know, I had a head on in Lesotho and my bike looked similar and there were okes there with bakkies who not only offered and did rescue my bike but were also good company on the route back to where I was staying. The wheel is round.....'what comes around, goes around' for those of you who didn't get it.

Guys! Just want to say, thanks for opening your hearts and wallets for these people, makes me proud to be a WD! We all hope that if we were in a similar situation we would receive assistance as the WD's have so willingly offered and given! :thumleft:

To make things easier, as they do not have an SA bank account,  I will PM my bank details to anyone who wishes to make a any donation to Marco and Sylvia, I have invited them to my place next Tuesday evening for a braai with a few of the Mpumalanga Dogs where we will hand over the cash collected. I am sure that they will join the WD ranks as forum members and post their Africa ride report too.

Ok guys and guyettes, things are moving. Cave Girl will collect the bike and bring it to Jozi. Sorted. Thank you so much. I have also asked Marco to let us know about the paperwork, if the bike is on a single carnet this needs to be with the bike when it goes to Walvis Bay. With Just Blip It I will co-ordinate the details with the courier company. Sorted.

So they can carry on with their trip and we can follow it on their blog. Well, I can, as it is in German... :imaposer:

Just Blip It will confirm banking details next week, I will also participate and by the looks of it funding should not be a problem. To everybody participating a big thank you. Makes one feel damn good to have this kind of support when needed. Well done, dogs. :thumleft:
