I have read this thread from the start - have seen this type of thing happen on other forums as well, some with positive outcomes and others not so positive.

*It seems there was a problem initially supplying WD stickers to members - the okes started making their own. Some might have sold them for their own gain or just too cover the cost - non of the profits went to the forum AFAIK. Does not sound like KR has a problem with this initial arrangement.
*Tweets made his own stickers and gave them away - this benefited the forum in terms of advertising. This was a cool thing to do and credit to him - his passion for the forum showed. He sounds like a good oke who always helps others from what I read.
*The sticker supply problem now seems to be sorted out, but the guys are stuck in the previous way of doing things - rebel like. Why does Tweets not want to support the WD Forum's sticker sales now? Same rules for everybody.
*This forum is free to us, but it costs a lot of bucks and time to maintain and keep up. Why not support it by buying the stickers?
*I agree the stickers must be reasonably priced as to encourage sales, but cant be just given away for free.
* Sorry, but I dont buy this "I have a paw sticker on my bike, but it has nothing to do with the WD Forum" thing, unless it's accompanied by the other relevant organisation"s name/logo. We all know what the paw on the bike means, lets be real on this.

My opinion about these leave behind stickers: If it gets out of hand it will cause damage to the brand. I would not like people sticking stickers all over my property without permission. It does look nice in appropriate places such as pubs and bike related venues etc. Yet we are all big boys and make our own choices - yet this will reflect on the forum.

One will never please everyone and there will always be those who choose to leave and go somewhere else - it's human nature and such is life. The rules are made by the forum owner(s) and we choose to oblige them - if not, we are free to leave. And therein lies KR's and us as members choice and responsibility.

Just for record, I seldom agree with KR on arguments, have never met him or spoken to him in person or other outside the forum context.

If you like the forum, dont rip the stickers. If you dont like the forum, leave. Simple as that.

M2CW - use it dont use it.

Let me tell you how simple it is....

We have sanctioned sticker distributers who sell authorized WD stickers at a price they deem fit. R5 of each sticker goes to the forum as a royalty.

If you counterfeit the brand with the name and URL on - I'll sue your ass
If you counterfeit the paw (which can't get registered as a trademark) - I ban your ass

Simple?  Now go on with your lives plse.

the mind boggles......... :eek7:

please can YOU explain to the esteemed members of YOUR forum which forum rules, if any, Tweets' had broken?

and be specific and stop beating about the bush?

Playing devils advocate: Here is the backdrop of this whole mess:

OH. This is such a joke. KR, you got me pissinig with laughter  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:.  Fuck off with your sticker parade and go build your Palace in the Bush. HAMBA

Anyone want stickers. Go to the bashes and jols. Where ever I go, I GIVE them away. (All reflective) They cost me R 5.63 per row of five (different sizes)
A couple of stickers is not going to bankrupt me, but everyone is overjoyed.   NOW I dont, DONT send to anyone.  Youi want stickers, go to the jols. They are there, freely available when I am there.

I GIVE them away , there is NO "Royalty" to pass on. Heheheheheheheheheheh. Oh, I am now crying of laughter.  KR, you really made my day today  :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4:

Look  NORTH, Go NORTH, KR

Let's be fair - if a person talked to me like that I might also take offense, no matter how much a good guy he is. If KR talks to others like that, then fair game, let him have it.

But saying because a guy is good and does good deeds it therefore exempts him from certain things is rubbish.

WB I thought by now you understood how internet forums work? ::)
...or should I point out to you the following;
1. You are here at the owners indulgence.
2. It is not a democracy.
3. The owner can do as he/they please and change rules as they see fit.
