People in shacks are not homeless! Some of them are very proud of the homes they built and are living in - especially as they have very little resources. Some of those "squatter" villages have a very vibrant comunity and are happier than lots of folks in their mansions just one step ahead of the debt collectors.
Sometimes I wonder why we keep pitying these poor guys instead we should in lots of cases envy them for their resourcefulness and never say die attitudes to survive against all odds.
I have taken many pics also of people who live in such places and were often amazed at the joy some of them still have in their lives which you only realise if you communicate with them on their turf.
