Hi Guys,
Where do all the damaged KTM's go????
My son was taken out by an old (76) lady who turned from the opposite direction into his lane. He is OK and was only going about 40 but the left tank connected the rear of the car so the damage is quite a bit. The forks , engine and chassis are all fine but the bike needs L/H tank, L/H panel/ Radiator L/H bottom cover, crashbars, indercators, mirrors and a front slave cylinder, all in all 10 parts.
KTM CT is quoting on the parts but I expect it will be about R40000 to R45000. The L/H tank alone is 16000,
Top it all the old lady was not driving her car but her sons car, It has insurance but I think they will write off the bike if they look at the damage. This will be a shame as the bike is great and not a bad repair.
I think I will have a restoration project to place in the project collum !!!!!!!! Always wanted to do one but not this way.
