Can any-one give me some legal/relevant advice on an accident I had
A person was stopped on the left of the road and as I approached I decided to overtake. (Unknown to me they were waiting for their gate to open) As I was next to their rear door they turned into the drive. I hit the front wheel and bumper of the car and luckely did not fall.
They say that they had indicated, however I saw none. After a discussion we verbally decided that we would each pay for our own damages. The Matter was reported to the police.
As my damaged was minimal, even if I had insurance I would not claim but my question is - Will their insurance try to claim the damages from me? and if so how can I best prepare for this event as the police would not open a new case for me and gave the same case number that they issued to them and who knows what is in that report
