The whole week we were saying how nice it would be to go for a ride the weekend, so a few of us decided to get things going. Our planned route takes us from Swakopmund to Uis, along the pipeline next to the Swakopmund Henties Bay salt road, to Omaruru and then around the back of Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund. We all met around 07:30 in Swakopmund at the last garage as you leave Swakopmund for Henties Bay.

The back up vehicle was provided and driven by none other than the brother in law of our very own Carrots. He is also a WD and his forum name is Bom-Bastic, whom I met for the first time today. What a great guy with a good sense of humour and a book full of funny jokes. We haven't laughed so much in a long time, our stomachs are still acing.
