1200 GS Faulty Heated Grips

So this morning was lekker chilly and with splashes of light rain. Naturally I switched on the heated grips on my 2010 R1200GS only to find that just the right hand grip heats up  :eek7:

First time this happened to me. Left hand was cold on both settings. Bike is out of Warranty so going to dealer not an option, or at least it will be an expensive option  :dousing:

Any ideas what the problem could be  ??? Can this be fixed???
