Woema Avonture teams up with specialists and experts to present a Woema Technical Weekend on the Saturday and Sunday of 22 and 23 June 2013 on ADA's training grounds. Learn how to repair a tyre, fullly utilize your GPS navigation, what to do in medical emergencies, photographic techniques and much more.
 
Come join us where experts from their various fields, share their knowledge with us and improve our knowledge about various aspects of motorcycling. Either if you just ride paved roads or if you tackle Namibia's sandpits, here you are sure to learn something that will help in those unexpected situations and the equipment and use thereof, which will make your life as a motorcyclist more comfortable and safer. We start the Technical Weekend at 08:30 the 22nd June to 16:00 the afternoon, and Sunday from 08:30 in the morning until 14:00. Bring your tent and camp with us on the training grounds on the evening of the 22nd, enjoy a delicious meal and hang out with your fellow bikers.

The Technical Weekend is perfect for adventurebike (dual purpose) riders, but really for anyone who wants to learn something new or just wise up on technical topics. Now you can build up your knowledge a lot and have questions answered by the experts, all in one weekend.
 
There will be great prizes to be won, a goodie bag for each attendee and many more exciting events. Woema Produksies will be recording for the next season of Woema and thus the camera crew will be moving in between.
 
The topics will cover:
Correct maintenance of jou bike – technical aspects.
Use your GPS to its full potential; from route planning an loading to th use thereof.
Hou to completely plan your trip, from the first kilometer to border crossing.
Tips about baggage options, the correct way to pack as well as protection options for your bike.
How to repair or replace your bike’s tyre, with or without an innertube.
Specialty equipment for motorcycling.
Hints on how to correctly wash your bike and parts to focus on.
The correct tyres, tyre pressure and tipe of tyre for every application.
What to do in an emergency situation as well as medi-kit.
How to take beautiful photo’s of your trip and bike.
Camping – the correct tent and setup thereof, as well as any other items you may need on your trip.
How to fully utilize your GoPro and to record your adventure

These courses are designed to help you better prepare for your next tour or short trip. The various courses take place at the same time, the course attendees will be divided into groups and rotated to give everyone the opportunity to get to all the different topics. Included in the cost, are the respective instructors / experts, tea and coffee on arrival and a light Sunday lunch on ADA's grounds.

The Woema Vrotpad-shirt is also available here; only to members attending the Woema Technical Weekend, available at R380 per shirt. Please order and pay in advance in order to obtain your shirt.
Cost:
R 180 per person
R 80 per person for Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning breakfast for those sleeping over (please book early)

Arno, it's at ADA...

Seems they are using the same format as the last Technical Day that was held there... with a lot more info...
They are also holding it over 2 days with camping facilities available, and meals, at an incredibly low price...

I'm going!  And I'm going to be learning stuff... :)
