To start the RR - first this needs to be shared.

Newbie after being convinced by some fellow dogs decided to buy a BMW F800 GS, Trophy... Almost new.
Now the standard tyres on a GS, road tyres.
Gwild decided we are going to go back roads to Wellington, so that can get used to the bike, Berty77 joined us.
Left N1engen @ 8 h30, then we started....

As we started on " the good gravel road" newbie almost didn't make it.  A few km further newbie had his fall... After a debated discussion we changed to tar....
Wellington to Malmesbury,
Malmesbury to darling with a detour to Mamre( gravel)
Darling to R27 and then home...

Total km 207km

Big thanx to Berty77 and Gwild, surely was a fun ride, with a lot of close calls.... Note to all - road tyres not that good idea on gravel :imaposer:

if you are new to gravel think about training as well. that will go further than different tyres.

Maybe try something a little more 50/50 like an E07. What you experienced today on the gravel could just as well be E09's on tar. Maybe try the 07, and if that is not giving you enough grip, try the E10.

Ok so after a few months of persuading Wesley decided to get a F800GS, he got the bike yesterday and had to ride, we were going to join up with Straddle but flu kept him in bed. So Wesley, Berty and myself met at engen N1 and had no idea where to go. Wesley asked for nothing hectic so we decided to ride towards Wellington. After a few gravel roads  Wesley ploughed  :ricky: so we decided to stay on the tar till he changes thoose slicks for proper tyres.
