Ja JM, I must tell you that I feel very proud to have been one of the voices encouraging you to get your Dakar.

Yip. Definately you had the most impact in finalizing my decision. Michnus as well. Much appreciated then and still being appreciated.

I must of missed alot since I have not been on there after registering on here so "It wasn't me"

You do need some sort of moderation although not to the point where the moderator start taking things personally. If someone starts posting crap that could incriminate someone then it should be taken off. I recall an episode a year or so ago where ADVRIDER nearly closed down after a user posted something stupid about how he would assinate some key figures - now that was just stupid and he has been put in jail as far as I know.

If you feel that strongly about something do it in your own time in the right place 8)

The way I see it, is that Bucc, while a really decent and likeable guy,
wasn't given the power to ban. It became a free for all, which is a
pity, as there were/are lots of decent and very knowledgeable guys
there. A few of those guys have both sports and DS bikes, and some
are interested in owning a DS bike in the future.

About keeping this a pure DS forum? I would tend to say yes, but,
there are guys on Bikesa who were extremely helpful to all with
tech advice and other. Genuinely nice guys, and with the strength of the DS ride reports, showed interest in getting a DS as a 2nd bike.....
We should'nt shut them out.

I for one would prefer to keep this site DS orientated, maybe BikeSA was shut down because of some legal issue that we don't want to occur on this forum, it would be difficult to keep out the 'hoi-poloi'.
I saw their 'admin' lurking there last night and then today, nothing, site gone. Maybe somebody could ask Baja X on the quad torque forum, I have given him to much crap in the past to get an honest answer from him.
Other sport bike guys can be directed to the Think Bike website for now, there is talk of a general bike site to be started soon, with more active admin.

STUFF IT, I forgot to log in again, the previous comments are mine.
If you can keep your head in the midst of all this confusion, you don't understand the situation!

I prefer this site to be DS orientated but not DS exclusive - It reminds me too much of the WHITES ONLY mentality

We should have a poll OR let admin decide - I'm fine with both - and if for some reason I'm not, I'll just go away. Simple as that :P
