HELP please - Bambisana Hospital
« on: June 15, 2013, 07:11:10 am »
Calling EC Dogs,

I need to be at Bambisana Hospital on Tuesday morning for work purposes.
I have conflicting data as to where is actually is, with co-ordinates varying in and around Lusikisiki itself and deep into the mountains nearby.

Can anybody who has been there please give me correct info on where it is or how to get there?
What are access road conditions like going there?

Thanx!

Edit:
Okay, so I finally established that Bambisana Hospital is at S31 26.957 E29 27.203.
I'm still trying to get info regarding the road there from the R61 between Lusikisiki and Port St Johns.
Will my Avis rental get there or do I need a 4x4...?

Any info would be much appreciated.

The roads are ok when dry... very treacherous and slippery after rain, so I would check the weather report just before you go.
I live in my own world...
But it's ok... they know me there!

Thanks, TT.
I've already been and come back again.
The road was tarred with some potholes.
Manageable in at legal speeds.

Actually the Avis rental was a Hyundai I35,
so it was perfectly ok for the trip.   :thumleft:

(I wouldn't buy one though...)   :-\
