Hi Guys,
I tested the R1200GS LC for the Economy Run, which is a National event held every year and run the same way that the car economy run is.
I returned excellent figures from the LC and can report that it is way better than the old model and going back in the records, now is slightly better than what the 1190 tested was. (4.84 Lt/100Km)
Bear in mind that the figures are got are riding in an "Economy" Run way i.e. tucked under the screen and light and even on the throttle, though not totally so as we do in an event (dumb stuff like riding with your left hand on the throttle etc.)
The bike also only had 236 Kms on it so was as tight as a sharks naught in a powerdive!
Figure was
4.62 L/100 Kms, I thin on a motor with more mileage in the event it will be around 4.2 Lt/100Kms
As I said these are testing figures for an economy event so they don't necessarily reflect the true consumption. Although the route I use is taxing (Past Lanseria, Kromdraai to Hekpoort Rd, Tracking station Rd, Hartees rd then Santa Barbara back past Lanseria to garage by off ramp) Those that don't those roads - moersa lot of hills!
