So maybe LITO was almost right, you cant slag the various bikes, but you can slag the rider? But only on things like his religion or beer drinking ability, slagging him on his choice of bike is wrong.

Yeah, I find the problem with most riders (and it is a generalisation) is that they just don't drink enough!!!

LS, I'm not overreacting, like I said this is my opinion. I'm just tired of my friends going on about KTM since I mentioned getting one. They were the ones who pushed for me to get a DS to join them on rides as my Fireblade was totally unpractical for long trips nevermind dirt. Now that I got my GS, none of them take their bikes off road anyway . Now I ride alone.

It's become like discussing politics or religion, I respect yours please respect mine & we'll get along fine, but don't talk something down because of what you heard without trying it for yourself. Sure I might regret my dicission later, but hey thats life. The good thing about all the different brands is choice & which one I'll be able to pick up after a tumble! :oops:

I drink about 2 litre of water a day, an Ovalmaltine for breakfast, and a cuppucino after lunch, and a nice cup of tea in the evening. Thats enough.

Well, Blouvark, ek is sterk besig om planne te maak om van rooi (aprilia) oor te skuif na oranje. Ek was nog altyd iemand wat deur daai "hol kol op die maag gevoel "getrek word na iets. Blouvark, I respect your message, and think its cool. Switching brands (ktm to beemer, beemer to aprillia, etc etc) will let you know who cares about your brand between your legs and pegs and will also let you know who cares about you.

I have learnt that they are not always synonomous.

Fun is right though, those that try so hard to convince you are trying to reaffirm their choices. And quite frankly I think what you are doing is excellent, go with what works for you, whatever it may be.

Zonkel sounds awesome man, would be nice to have another brother in the fold...

Long live bikes. Screw Brands.

ANd yes we can slag off riders. However, I get drunk on a glass or two these days so I can expect to retain the slagged off award.
