Honda engine and FD.....will last forever. Pity he ran out of money and had to settle for that kak bodywork.

Missed the first or second Buff rally in Bathhurst due to my rebuild BMW R50's front wheel being laced 1/4 inch off centre. In the Bike SA or whatever it was called then, there was a report on a BMW fitted with a 4 cyl Porsche engine, which won the Concours a couple of years running. Never got to see the bike personally. That was 1970, I think.

No it's got a frame.

Why did it take BMW over three decades to realise Honda had done things right with the GW? (water cooled & cross flow, counter rotating masses of crank & clutch, wet clutch) :evil6:

And if you think the GW GS is hot goggle Honda XR1500 :lol8:
