OK found some from a scanning session I did a few months back.

The only ones I could positively ID as Back of The Moon are these two

View of the pits

My cousin David Dijkman in his heyday  :thumleft:

Here's a few of me at Syringa

Looks like I'm actually passing some one, so that could be a unique collector's item photo

Here's a few of Brickor

Russel?

I'm no.88  :thumleft:

Here's a few at Tarlton

The dreaded double jump in the background  :o  Wet myself the first time I actually jumped it.  After seeing a few nasty accidents in morning practice where guys didnt quite have enough speed - nasty!

Harry Everts, possibly the best rider I have ever seen!

Oustanding photos, Alan.

I have some of Brickor, BOTM, Tarlton, Syringa, will post as soon as I can figure out how....AND get the rest scanned, which I'll do in Dec. not as nice as yours, however...taken with various small point and shoots, mostly ???

I remember David Dijkman well, didn't ge get hurt badly? Him and Kevin Korkie were the 125 mmwc's at one point.

That no. 521 is Tyrone Stevenson on the KTM 495, I remember that number well. No.277 may have been Robert Campbell, that's a 1983 single shock bike, and Russell was banging bars with Rex Staten in the 500 class that year. One of my best photos is of them battling at BOTM.

Upon closer inspection of the Maico no.277......may have been Russell....those yellow bibs were worn during the Camel int'l series.....which was a 250cc Main race......i still have some of the event programmes in my storage box in Joburg, will dig it up and scan. That will answer the question.

Davidís brother, Philip, ended up a paraplegic after a bad fall. I saw him a couple of years afterwards, racing Karts at Swartkops
