Shit! I hope he's ok...
Young enough to know I can, old enough to know I shouldn't, stupid enough to do it anyway.

Dammit - RIP !

it's so bad to have to read these things almost daily now. Really makes me scared to even think of travelling on a tarred road anywhere.

I think I have seen him on my commute
If it is the same guy then he worked at or near BMW Auto Atlantic in Adderley Street

Terrible news

The N1 was a bit rough at the time there was a car accident at Church street, and cagers were wrestling for position in the lanes and obviously not checking for bikes lane splitting.

RIP GS rider.

Nope.

The spill was close to Brackenfell on the N1
02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

Faaaaaaaaark...

Gerhard Mitton.

Used to work here at my company 'till about 3 months ago.

His wife still do.

Grey 1200 GSA with Cape Town BMW Club sticker on.
His wife's got a XT600e.

They did trips everywhere and we used to talk bikes for hours on end.

This was the staff announcement:

Quote
It is with great sadness to report that our colleague Gerhard Mitton has suddenly and tragically passed away this morning.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Deidre and Gerhard’s family during this very difficult time

I confirmed that it was a bike accident.
