RIP.

A staff member came into work today thinking it might have been me.

He said the guy rode passed him standing up while lane splitting. He came across the accident scene 15 minutes later.

I would think that standing while lane splitting is pretty foolish. I hope this wasn't a contributing factor in the accident.

I knew Gerhard well. A great guy and very GOOD rider. He was reserved cautious and respectful 2 fellow road users. I just cannot believe this has happened.  Shocked saddened angry and pissed off. RIP Boet !!!! Fuck

My brother-in-law phoned me in a flat panic to find out whether it was me. He went past the accident and could not remember what type of topbox I have on my bike, but he knows I have a silver GS...
