So decided to change the tail light to a LED since the stock bulb has a habit of blowing the dim. I bought a generic tail light from Midas. The 2006 numberplate is part of the mudguard and cannot be removed unless you cut it off, I think the later models were different ? The stock tail light sits over a cavity which houses the electrical connector. To cover this I bought two pieces of Plexiglass for a total sum of R11-00  :biggrin:

I got hold of yellow that is pretty close to the stock colour. Using the stock lens I obtained the shape using a bench grinder.
