The ALTERNATIVE ROUTE 14.07.2013
« on: July 14, 2013, 08:25:32 pm »
So Sunday morning came , NO RAIN !

And 20 or so bikes came to ride in the mud.Even some unexpected riders,
like Kamanya and GJ.
Unfortunately we missed Mr. Big at the Klipheuwel Turn off.
I did slow down , but he was no where to be seen.

We had  quite a fast , compatent group today , so we made good time to the starting point of the Alternative route, and got there at 08h40,

We waited until 09h05 until adv. arrived , accompanied by Tour and miss Tour.& Vaalbaas
And straight to it we went.

First stop , no casualties , but Headley had a flat.
Kameelkop showed us how you ride through mud and water so fast , u barely touch the water , like a "Blesshoender"
I let the faster bikes go in front , Adv.Kamanya and Kameelkop to name just a few.

Anyway , the riding all went well and I made sure all the gate swere closed once we were through.
It seems our difficult farmer had notice that adv. had been past his farm again , and wired all the gates lekker vas with "duk draad" , Leatherman is an awesome tool , but I made sure the gates were all closed anyway.
A  quick refreshment was had in Moorreessberg.
So , I asked who wants more, and just before we could leave GJ and his friend joined us.
And the next stop was Koringberg , Then back on the alt. route north , over the Bree river , and left on to Goedverwagt.

I hadnt been up the 4x4 track for 3 years. But it was in a fair state and a good ride was had by all.
Many thanks to all that attended the ride,
I had a blast , and you guys ?

So , put your pics here please ?

Was lekker to meet a few of the guys.. GJ!! Nice to see you again!! I will sift through the muddle of crap in a few hours of video and see if i can put a decent thread together. I will revive this thread then again from the dead with it.. Gonna be away for two months now..

All that I would like to say is.. 1! Headlamp covers are worth every cent spent. 2! Always make SURE that your valuables are where they need to be.. SAFE!! I lost my wallet.. Moered out of my pocket..

To all who helped getting my puncture sorted.. Thanks guys!!!

Lekkrr almal!!! Was a really great ride..

was a lekker chilled ride yesterday. thanx to all there, was cool to see so many lekker people together.
it was my lady s first real ride other than learning so that means less than 20 times from first lesson of throttle clutch and be carefull of falling. she really loved it and I am super stoked about the positive feedback from her. we only went as far as mooreesburg but took a nice scenic route back past riebeeck.

so hopefully their will be loads more. think Dean got a photo of a big water pool/puddle. thanx andy, adv and co.
am so proud of her..  :3some:

Andy had his 30 second rule running. He stops, and 30 seconds after the last rider (usually me) pitches at stop point, he takes off again.

Or 30 seconds after he puts his helmet on, he is gone.

So no pics from me sorry. Takes me longer than 30 seconds to get the camera out, take a pic and then put the camera back.

Scarab has some video. There will be some pics from the vid.
