Nice one Wookie. I still have not managed to take pics. Very difficult when you're in the hills and riding to stop for foto shoots. Need to organise a cameraman.

And... had my first serious off  :eek7: Lost my balance on a piece of rock I've done many times, put the bike down, and then went tumbling down a 3m rocky embankment. Fell myself just short of needing a gynaecologist  :imaposer:

Very much chaffed, bruised and sore. You can fall your moer off on these bikes.  :deal:

Hey Jup.... Glad you still in one piece.
These bikes look all innocent and putter around..... but given half a chance they are quite happy to bite you.

I had a few vertical moments while getting used to how sensitive the throttle is.

Another thing... wear your ATGATT ! I had my knee protectors on. If not, my right kneecap would have been a gonner. As it is, it is just badly bruised and very stiff on the side with some ugly scratches.

It just amazes me how little ATGATT the trials riders wear!
I can't bring myself to ride with the open face helmets the guys use.
I ride with knee pads, a pressure suit, full face helmet and my Sidi Crossfire boots.
My only concession is no neck brace and I wear thin gloves.
So far, have only had some small offs, but when I see what the pros do  -  WOW!

Luckily I got no upperbody punctures, eccept for sprained muscles, but have been considering wearing my balistic jacket. Also got some nasty grazes on my hips(boude) so defnitely looking at a pants with protection.

Its amazing how much happens in so few short seconds when you take a tumble.

Question for Grim....

If I remember correctly you said you had a REV 3.
The rear mounting screws for the rear fender , are they screwed directly into the airbox or are they tapped into the subframe / airbox mounting frame?

The ones on my bike just turn but do not come loose. Feels like it has a nut on the back which is turning.

Thanks

Hmmm, into the airbox as far as I can remember, I think there are some brass nuts embedded in the plastic.
Will check tonight & let you know...
Alcohol is essentially nature’s Leatt Brace – with it, you might not be able to move worth sh*t, but you can take a slam or two and be no worse for the wear.

Thanks Grim.  :thumleft:

That is what it feels like. Might have to grind the screws off and see if I can glue the brass nuts back in.

All the Beta plastics are poly propylene (PP) and easily weldable - if that is the issue I would just add some filler & re melt them in.
