Question for Grim....

If I remember correctly you said you had a REV 3.
The rear mounting screws for the rear fender , are they screwed directly into the airbox or are they tapped into the subframe / airbox mounting frame?

The ones on my bike just turn but do not come loose. Feels like it has a nut on the back which is turning.

Thanks

The Rev3 has brass inserts that are supposed to be embedded into the plastic airbox.
They have probably come loose from someone over tightening.

Ok some pics.... only two for now.

Got the bike on Friday but only managed to get a ride in on Sunday.
Figured out a few things after a few hours on the bike:

1: Damn these bikes are light and stand up for no reason if you gas it a bit hard. >:D
2: Completely different riding style
3: Stationary balancing of the bike is not in the feet but in the arms
4: Balancing is not as difficult as I thought it would be.... managed 10sec after a few hours practice
5: Man Oh Man this is fun..... :thumleft:
6: This is Pilates on wheels.... awesome core muscle work out while having a blast  :ricky:

Very very jealous!

Enjoy  :thumleft:

I see Welsh had Beemer Man's trials bike for sale a few days ago. There were a few interested in the bike but might be worth a followup.

Unfortunately there does not appear to be a contact for a trials club down in KZN.

where do you stay gerard?

are the trials bikes noisy, and does it disturb the neighbors, or do you head away from them down the valley?

Look at reply # 130. Its the start of the guinea fowl trail at the bottom of Hawthorne. Bikes are very quiet. We practice and warm-up at the parking area by the pump station and those people in the houses accross the river don't hear us. I stay just accross  Circular drive in the pic.
