Sani in winter

Rode up Sani yesterday. Cold, cold cold. But this is still the most beautiful piece of road in KZN. This is my second trip up this year and it was no easier than the first. If my pictures download you can see how the waterfalls have frozen solid. The trick was to miss these ice patches near the top of the pass as they were covered by dust where they crossed the road. I went up on my xt660r, my boss went on his 660 ten and six others whom we rode from Pinetown with used GS's. We had a total of 4 falls, one guy fell 3 times and my boss dropped his bike once, no serious damage done. Left Ryder Mottorad Pinetown at 8.30 and arrived home ( Kloof) at 17.15, total of 515km ridden.
