GSA just dying in 2nd gear

Anyone had this before - after some good hard riding when you gear down to stop, the bike just dies in 2 nd gear. Always just in 2nd gear. Then stop, press the power switch and it comes to life immediately without any hassle.

2007 model with 20 000 on the clock.

Help please
