Route: Blouberg, Malmesbury, Riebeek Wes, Piketberg, Citrusdal, Clan William, Algeria, Driehoek, Ceres, Wellington, Blouberg.
Duration: 2 days, 1 night camping in Driehoek (Cederberg).
Having heard so much about the Cederberg; and all these great trails only two hours away; I decided to get my kak together and go look-see. My two closest riding buddies couldnâ??t answer the call, so against my usual trail-sense it was going to be a solo flight.
Do you too enjoy pouring over maps; researching potential route; working out refueling points and sketching an equipment list? My wife thinks Iâ??m mad.
So it was on the morning of the 18th; the day after my 40th B/Day; I swung a leg over my second love (no, not the Messes); hit the starter button and grew a huge grin that lasted for the next two full days.
