The question should be: "Is the R1200GS more likely to tank slap than another comparable bike?"

To find the answer you will have to ride lots of those bikes over plenty and plenty of kilometres under all circumstances.

100%!  I have to wonder how many who declared the LC a tank slapper actually did that.

Wilbers have just finished developing their Steering Damping kit for the R1200GS LC, I have ordered a bunch of them they should be here in about ten days time.
I will confirm the exact price later but indication is around R 7250.00 complete.

Any update on the cost of fitting the Wilbers kit? Photos? Available agent in Cape Town?

May I missed your update, let me know please.

Hi Bud,

The reason I have been so quiet is that they haven't arrived yet. The Dampers are ready, the brackets are ready, the whole freaking delay has been the printers printing the fitting instructions in fortytwelve different languages in Germany.
They are expected in 10-14 days and the way the rate is going souff expect a price of R 7500.00.
The cost of fitting shouldn't be so scary, it will be a simple procedure.
As far as C.T. agents go Zebra (Flying Brick) and Supafoxi stock my products.
I can see me having to order another shipment as my initial order of 20 has almost pre-sold already!
