There is so many threads here it will take forever to find answers.
I am looking at selling my 800gs and getting the XR650L 2011 model. I want something that's lighter and more bush friendly
I am worried that this bike will be way to high. I sat on one at the dealership yesterday and If I can drop it by 5cm it would be better. Would I be able to drop the bike by either adjusting suspension(lowering link) or if needed, cutting the seat a bit?
I commute to work and back about 75 km return trip, will the XR by fine for this?
Would this bike be fine to do things like the Wilddog Bash from Durban? I don't need to race, I just don't want to feel like I'm murdering the bike at say 110-130kmph. The one i'm looking at has a after market pipe, long range tank, luggage rack, screen and hand guards.
Please give me some overall info on this machine. I am so excited and I love the bike. I want something that I can kit out over time and have serious fun on.
