Thanks for all the support, great to be part of such a group.
Far too much info to read for now, will go through it asap.

Peaches (Carol Beine for those that don't know her full name) is much better this morning but they are concerned about the swelling in her shoulder, it needs to come down before they can operate, hopefully on Monday. Her concussion (the biggest concern) is improving and she is quite lucid, already giving the hospital staff kark, she was able to eat breakfast this morning.
All going well she will be discharged on Wednesday next week and will fly home on Friday or Saturday.
We have just stripped some of the parts off her bike, pannier brackets etc and PS will courier them back to JHB for me. Her bike is surely a write off, smashed instruments, headlight, screen, handlebars, motor casing burst, topbox and mounting ripped off, complete rear section broken, footpegs and mountings bent and who knows what else is stuffed.....
The only baggage that stayed on the bike was the SW Motech tankbag, the spare visor inside got split and everything else in there was flattened.
The H&B panniers flew off the bike but are still in good shape.
A big thanks to Alfred of Donford BMW for recovering the bike, unbeknown to me it was taken to a nearby lodge where he found it and then had to be taken back to the crash site to find the panniers that I hid away, he got back to Ceres after midnight.
Another big thanks to Go Girl who has lent me her bakkie, and to Mark Hardy for spending time at the hospital with us.
Cherry has been a pillar of strength as well.
Once again, a big thanks to all on this forum.
Myself and Cherry are staying at Table View Cabanas, (not far from Doodles

;Dwhere we might pop into this afternoon)
Carol is at Panarama Medi Clinic and hopefully will be moved to a general ward later today, anyone is welcome to contact me, it's good for the spirit.

Last but but not least, a big thanks to Mark Webster of Outback Africa who was at Panarama to meet the chopper (Cherry flew with Peaches) and for putting us up in his lodge on Thursday night.
