Hmmmm, so my scoot has been giving problems lately. Not idling, idling high, surging, power dips. Took it for diagnosis, initally was just the Throttle Position Sensor, but with that now the Idle Speed Control Stepper Motor seems to be on it's way out.
RAD has quoted 16k (plus 2k for the sensor)!!! for a whole new throttle body incl. of the stepper motor. One cannot buy the motor on its own, which is really pathetic...
Going to have a look myself now to see if I can DIY repair the motor perhaps.
Anyway, my options are:
- repair the stepper motor myself if possible
- have someone repair the stepper motor
- source a used one
Anyone know who can repair stepper motors? Where could I get used 990 parts?
