2013 Bash, updated , Kei,Morgan Bay area
« on: September 07, 2013, 10:02:07 pm »
Friday lunch time I rolled into Morgan bay to gate crash for the weekend at Kallys spot.
Kally met me on the road and took me on a slow cruise around the area.
We were to ride the Transkei on Saturday but unfortunately the was a pet drama so I pillion Kally to the vet (keeping to the speed limit) so he could take Mrs. Kally home as she was upset. :'(
A few photos of Morgan Bay area.

Saturday,Kally,Mrs Kally and the dog  went to recce the 2013 Bash site at Umtombie Kei in a 4x4.
I will not put to many photos of the bash site as it will take a bit of mystery away from when one arrives. They are putting up new showers and toilets, new freezers for the meat and ice have been delivered and in the last photo there will be a huge tent just in case of bad weather.
The 8km driveway is like a miniature Katberg pass.
J_Dog I hope your car is not two low.
To newbie riders do not follow your partners too close as they will suddenly slow down or stop abruptly. Choose your lines that you will ride way ahead and cruise at your own comfortable pace.
BM riders there is a spot where one will have to hug the side of the road either the left or right, careful if you have your side boxes on and if you end up in the hole between them you will be balancing on your pistons like a rocking horse.(no Photo).
It is a very scenic driveway and gives one a feel of an adventure challenge. :thumleft:

Now here is a spot that has a bit of Jungle Monkey (Port St Johns) and Angies G spot (another Harold).
It's a rustic pub at the Kei mouth called the Bush Pig and a must stop over for a gathering of note. :thumleft:

It was lovely having you stay over Drazil,
Sorry the weekend was cut short, but the cat is still alive and on a drip at the vets.
please guy's take note of my dog marking the spot in the campsite that I have chosen for the bash, no trespassing.
My biggest worry in life, is that if I die before my Wife, she will sell my biking gear based on the prices that I told her I had paid for them.

Hey guys

This an awesome area, with some awesome photos too! :thumleft:

Although I am based in Gauteng (until I find a job in East London), I would appreciate being kept in the loop. If there's a trip I can make (and that's longer than a standard weekend, of course), I'll be there in a flash!

I have access to property at Haga Haga (a very nice trip via the (private) farm road) from Morgan Bay, via Black Rock farm, and I am sure we can camp on the lawn, if the house isnt big enough!!

I'll most likely be down the coast at Kenton on Sea in December, so this may be an option too!
