Sunday morning its up and away early to beat the rush up that hill. The plan is now to cross on the ferry and go North aiming for Coffeebay. We would stick on the main roads and visit some of the places along the way.

There's something special about a river crossing on a ferry when you do a bike ride. Just adds another element and this pilot knows his story.

First stop is Trenere's for breakfast... yes, breakfast, you know bacon, eggs etc  :eek7:  :imaposer: Its a buffet and I pig out. Then its off to Maseppa bay, but first Duks has a puncture and will have another one later on and the next morning the wheel would be flat again.

Its a hard, long 250km to Koffee bay, through endless rolling, mile upon mile of densely populated hills. I'm so totally over riding through the Transkei. Give me my wide open Karoo anytime. But it does have its own pretty.

We arrive at the backpackers in Koffie bay and it like a mini bash. Good times.

Any riding to me is good riding, as long as I'm on my bike and the wheels are turning. If I have to pick the best part of the trip its early the next morning to Hole in the Wall along the coast. Spectacular and the view down the hill just awsome. A very pretty place.

I'll not bother you much with the rest of our ride, although it was most enjoyable. I did not take many pics and you can't tell a story without pics. But there's one more I have to share.

We head for Hogsback and next morning have breakfast(bacon and eggs  :deal: ) at Way with the Fairies. Crab takes us to a viewpoint for this magnificint view.

Jupiter and crowd, glad you had fun getting to hole in the wall, views along that route are inspiring. The transkei has a lot to offer. I am planning a ride north of port saint johns which will be spectacular.
