Every year around this time, Alfie Cox hosts a Dual Sport Festival at the Sierra Ranch Hotel just outside Mooi River in the Natal Midlands. This past weekend was the 7th consecutive festival and I was very privileged to be part of the event.
The event is open to all road legal dual sport bikes, although the orange KTM colours are prevalent and KTM's are very much in the majority. having said that, Alfie Cox is an exceptional host and all brands of bike were made to feel welcome.
I arrived at Sierra Ranch late Thursday afternoon after a very relaxed 40 minute solo ride through the scenic midlands. The hotel was humming by the time I got there, many old friends renewing acquaintances, my first ACDS festival, but I was immediately made to feel welcome.
