Ceres Koue Bokkeveld 200 (WCOC) 19th Oct
« on: September 11, 2013, 06:40:00 pm »
19th Oct the Western Cape Off-Road Club will host the KB200 Off-Road in the Ceres Mountains know as the Koue Bokkeveld.
Yes it is time Bikes & quads to head for the mountains, the route will utilize parts of the well received 2010 KB400 National route.

Senior loop approx 40km
Junior loop approx 20km
Kiddies loop approx 8km

At Velddrif we ran a Big Bore bike class for over 500cc (great to see we had some 650 & 690 there).
At Ceres we will do the same and if too technical in some places for these big machines we can run an escape route.
Just had a request to enter a vintage CR500 yes he can join big bore class - for now we will group vintage with big bore.
Those not riding Amageza are welcome to enter on one event license.

Competitors can look forward to another WCOC CHALLENGE where we try cater for most.

Will soon post new details on our web

@ Daniel the senior track is west most on De Meul SNR= red , JNR= blue,  kiddies = green
I was up there in a warm 5 degrees yesterday  :thumleft: it was exciting thinking back on 2009 /2010 Nationals having raced them both.
No need to remind my of that roller coster , - i broke a Fox V3 helmut and Leatt brace there on a part of the the track i set, was riding stupid fast after a bad time trial  :lol8:

Routes include everything, farm roads, onion fields, orchards, sand & of course we haven't had a true rocky mountain section this year but once compititors enter the canyon section they will face some pebbles  :ricky:
Here are a couple pictures from yesterday,

Sorry Dan meant SNR loop is East of 32 degrees South pack shed - pits will be on north side of pack shed this time (where the jetting strip was 2010). There are going to be fantastic spectator points - will plot them for programs. :thumleft:

Koue Bokkeveld 200 Regs are up at www.racecontrol.co.za ( it will not copy & paste ?).
Quads in morning and bikes ride in afternoon.
Fantastic new pit area next to a dam, this is going to be an epic race with some more than usual technical sections in the middle.
Catering by Laerskool Koue Bokkeveld will be good as usual with a refreshment center  :sip:

DR sorry but after the race the area is a no go zone , the fences will be up on Sunday as these are working fruit farms with cattle & sheep.
Please this is the last thing we need that people go and ride afterwards.
Why dont you take a one event license & ride social class ?

That's a very good point crouse. We need to be careful about riding on private property always.

I'm sure that's why Dusty asked the question as well - just to be sure.  :thumleft:

So Dusty Rusty - You gonna go for one of these events??  :deal: :ricky:
