Dakar to be Cancelled?!

Just got an e-mail from Marathonrally.com;

Dakar Rally 008 will be cancelled at 12:00

Probably the Dakar Rally 2008 will be totally cancelled because of
Terror-warnings in Mauretania where four French tourists were killed last
month.

Also some officials of the work-teams confirmed to reporters from
marathonrally.com, that the Rally will be cancelled definetely at 12:00
CET. "This information is 99%" said one member of a workteam Crew in a
conversation. Officially this is unconfirmed by the ASO.

The Technical Scrutineering and all other official Events were stopped at
10:00 CET today morning.
