Jissie manne, ek werk laat dit klap, maar sal eers die naweek die tydjie kry vir grondpad gaan ry. Die bande is vir my regtig nie sleg op teer wat ek sover elke dag ry winkel toe, moet sÍ baie indruk met hulle grip! Bietjie pad geraas, maar dis wat 'n ou seker kan verwag van so aggresiewe band op teer.

My LC, yes also white, the only colour for this model :)

The pic was taken just before departing for Cederberg with newly fitted Karoo 3's. I have lots of video to share with those interested.

After a few hundred km's on dirt, rock, sand, mud, water and anything else the route could throw at us, I love the LC even more. The Karoo 3's were excellent although I thought the wear was a bit excessive!

We saw HermanH at the Tankwa roadstall on the way out and I agree with a comment he made. "The Karoo 3's corner in dirt like you're on tar."

Interesting crashbars. Looks like BMW standard bottom but where did the top part come from?

So, my gat jeuk behoorlik vir n 1200lc... Daar is nog n paar farkles wat ek op my 800gs wou sit, maar ek wonder of ek eerder begin spaar vir die lc... Enigiemand oorgeskakel van 800gs na 1200lc, dit die moeite werd? :sip:

Dit hang baie af van jou ry styl. Die 800 is meer 'n enduro bike as toer fiets in my opinie, terwyl die 1200 nog steeds alles off road kan doen wat ek wil he hy moet doen. Ek ry egter baie min regte off road konisies, meestal dirt highways en twee spoor "jeep tracks" Ek het oorgeskakel van die 800 gs na die vorige 1200gs, en dit was soos chalk en cheese. En nou is die LC soveel beter as die vorige model. Die 1200's is net sooo stabiel en rustig.

Dankie Jan! Ja ek hoor jou, 1200 verseker n beter toer fiets. Ek het ook nog nie verskriklike onmoontlike tegniese roetes met die 800 aangepak nie, ook maar dirt highways ens... Probleem is net dat ek die 1200lc gaan toetsbestuur het, nou voel my 800 soos n scooter! Eks mal oor die 1200lc se krag en klank!

Die 1200 LC is ook baie meer stabiel op grond, as jy hom eers toets bestuur het.................... laat weet as jy hom het!

Hoe tough is die nuwe 1200lc in vergelyking met die ou 1200GS? Hoe hanteer hy die normale "lae spoed omval" wat nou en dan gebeur? Ek weet die ou 1200 was gebou om te hou!

Ek gaan die naweek weer vir n toetsrit op die 1200LC en wil die vrou saamvat om te voel hoe gemaklik dit is vir pillion. Ek dink my 800 se dae is getel... :deal:

Ek het onlangs 'n meer tegniese rit in die Overberg gedoen en twee maal op een dag het ek en die fiets verskillende paaie geloop met geen merkbare skade nie.

Net soos voorheen, sorg maar vir die gewone beskerming soos crashbars ens. Die fiets is egter nie van porselein gemaak nie, hy kan maar omval.

Ek het onlangs afgeval op teer teen so 40 km/h, en die fiets het geen skade nie, behalwe krap en skaafmerke op die onderste BMW crashbar, sien dit het ook effens ingebuig, en krappe op die Touratech head protector.

Ek dink die LC is net so goed gebou soos die oil cooled model in terme van ruggedness
